^the original concept i made for my mariosona in 2022! my general idea was that he's a boo prince who takes on a magical yet ghastly human form in front of those not from his kingdom. perhaps if he were in a mario game (prob paper mario or one of the other rpgs), he would first appear in that magic form before his true form is revealed later.

then come years later, my bf made his own mariosona, Shy Cat, a shy guy! heres some doodles i did when Shy Cat was early in design

the difference in the way i drew Prince Ray's face... some friends say its like he went from baby face to more mature!

and lastly, heres an artfight piece from this year i did of our mariosonas together!

i imagine that Prince Ray can be a bit overprotective of Shy Cat at times lol

been playing on my 3DS frequently again! introduced my bf mat to my fave kirby game, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and we recently beat milky way wishes together! im the helper (aka player 2) since its his first time w the game. i cant wait to do the true arena tbh

i also started Steamworld Dig a couple days ago, its really fun! mat beat it yesterday, im only like.. 3 or 4 hours in? he started the sequel too

did you know ive never played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? i started the original jpn version last week. mat is a big loz fan, so hes veryyy familiar w the game lol. been translating it roughly aloud as i play and he watches, thank fuckkk for furigana making it easy to learn new kanji im not yet familiar with lmao

everyday i mourn the fact that yumekuro had to prematurely go offline due to the company funding them suddenly dropping them (afaik at least). theyre still finishing the main story in the offline version as i last heard, but no more events nor cute dates ):

that aside, my faves are Est and Oboro! i selfship w them, as u can see w my sona in the above art :D
i have some official merch of them too, havent ever seen anyone make fanmerch of these two sadly </3

HOWEVER. i made my own heart buttons of them (and Cinis) in 2022:

yumekuro is in japanese only, and my skills are limited so i understood like. 50 - 75% of what i was reading unless i pulled up jisho for new vocab lol. but i mean, i did learn new vocab from it! and reinforced some grammar in my mind. however i was not there to learn i was there for my fictional men tbh LMAO

anyways. i miss Est and Oboro. also as a disabled man who walks w a cane and needs to get a wheelchair part time, its really nice seeing a character w a wheelchair aka Oboro! its a fantasy styled one of course given the setting and the fact hes one of the black fairies, but i like seeing fantasy takes on mobility aids! like in Witch Hat Atelier as well (:

maybe ill draw them again when i get the chance.. still on the merch grind until the february con... might be fun to make small merch of them again, like bookmarks or stickers! ...probably something i can make in small quantities at home

been playing a lot of ATLYSS recently w my bf! i solo stuff as well in it (especially when i first had the game a month ish ago and he wasnt playing yet). its super fun! tho i can only be up around an hour recently before i have to rest like 2-4 hours. i cope tho!

i play as a mystic imp, currently level 23. you know me i gotta play as magic classes! plus imp has a life drain spell to start, which i love life drain in games, so the choice was inevitable lol.

does anyone else play ATLYSS? I would love to have more ppl to play with! i love doing dungeons the most, but also grinding repeatable quests. i save my story quests for my bf now that hes finally caught up to me :3

also, apologies i havent gotten the prompt schedule / explanation post up on ocrealms yet! been bedbound a lot, and its muuuuch easier to format posts on desktop. im suffering on mobile rn lol.
but the schedule is Discussion Prompts weekly on fridays! and creative prompts will be once a month on the 1st. members are welcome to post their own prompts off schedule tho <3
